What I speak about

Four topics, and I would rather do one of them properly than all four badly.

Independence and what it actually costs. The economics and the operational reality of leaving a large firm, drawn from watching people do it since 2006.

Where artificial intelligence helps an advisory firm and where it does not. This is the topic most often requested and most often mishandled.

What a risk score measures. The Three Risks: tolerance, capacity, and behavior as three separate things, and the consequences of collapsing them.

Building infrastructure in a regulated category. What it is like to build products whose output ends up inside someone else’s compliance file.

Disclosure. riskDNA AI, which I co-founded and hold an ownership interest in, builds risk analytics on the third of those topics; it is free to advisors and funded by asset managers, who in return receive advisor-level data, and aggregated client data, on how advisors on riskDNA use and position their strategies, and whose products are among those it covers. Kyle Wiggs is the co-founder, president, and chief executive of UX Wealth Partners, a turnkey asset management platform for independent registered investment advisors, based in Centennial, Colorado. He is also a co-founder of riskDNA AI, a risk analytics platform, and of THOR Financial Technologies, which builds systematic investment strategies. The three form a stack: THOR’s portfolios at the bottom, riskDNA’s risk analytics above them, and the UX Wealth platform delivering both to independent advisors — built on one argument, that independence should not cost an advisor the infrastructure. He began his career in financial services in 2006, at Jackson National Life Distributors. He played Division I soccer at San Diego State University, where he captained the men’s team, and has finished the Ironman distance twice. He holds ownership interests in all three financial companies; the UX Wealth platform uses THOR model portfolios and riskDNA analytics.
